Dinghy Sailing

 Club Sailing

We run a full calendar of dinghy sailing throughout the year.

Sailing takes place every Saturday evening from the beginning of April to the end of September. Racing also takes place on a Tuesday evening from May to early September. Various cups and trophies are fought for throughout the year with the monthly cup being on the first Sunday morning of the month. Back to back races are held on Saturdays and Sundays with rescue boat starts.

Various boats sail in Carmarthen Bay including a fleet of Ospreys, RS200s, RS600s, Redwings, Enterprises and Toppers. All the club boats are also available for club members to use. We have 3 Lasers with various rigs and a Wayfarer, plus a host of Junior Toppers, Teras, Fevas and Optimists.

All races are "all in handicap" events with results extrapolated for three main divisions, Novice, Division 1 and Division 2. The season is also divided into a number of series, Overall Club Championship, Early season, Mid season and Late season series, Weekend series, Midweek series and the Frostbite series for the brave (October to Boxing Day).

Free adult sailing and race training takes place prior arrangement on Wednesday evenings. In the early part of the season we hold an adult "come and try" weekend open to all.
